Turf Installation
Turf is rolled out on the new base prep and cut and seamed
into place. Our installers take great care to knit the turf
perfectly to the shape of the lawn and our seams are securely
fastened.
Infill added
Next, sand and granulated rubber are added in just the right
amounts to
keep the grass blades standing up and give the turf a soft
resilient feel.
This is done with a power broom to work the infill down to
the base of
the blades of grass to minimize the visibility of the infill.
Synthetic Grass and the Environment
The benefit of synthetic grass to the environment is significant. With an average size home and lawn, nearly half of the water bill each month is spent on landscaping and lawn maintenance. Plus synthetic grass completely eliminates one of the top causes of global warming – water and air pollution. Now you can get rid of that lawn mower! Another important factor is the reduction of use of toxic chemicals such as fertilizer and weed killers.
According to the Association of Synthetic Grass Installers, the Lawn industry represents the 5th largest “crop” that is grown in America, larger than wheat, soy and other staple grains! *
For the Record:
(US Statistics, unless other wise noted)*
· 91 million households support lawn and landscaping
· 78 million households use pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides
· Herbicides - 90 million pounds are used annually
· Fertilizers - 1.2 million tons (synthetic, commercial produced) used annually
· Pesticides - 210 million tons used annually
Break the cycle and get rid of that natural lawn for the “green” alternative – Synthetic Lawn from PolyGrass.
