Artificial Lawn Residential Landscaping (Click on images to see larger version)
Removal of existing lawn
This is done by hand for small projects, or by machine or
tractor for larger projects.
Existing lawn and 3-4 inches
of soil are removed and disposed of.
Base Prep
Install permeable base rock, level it, grade it, slop it and
compact it as a firm base to support the turf.
Additional base prep
This includes- edging installation if needed (concrete, plastic
bender or metal edging), drain improvements, and adding gopher
wire if needed.
Synthetic Grass and the Environment
The benefit of synthetic grass to the environment is significant. With an average size home and lawn, nearly half of the water bill each month is spent on landscaping and lawn maintenance. Plus synthetic grass completely eliminates one of the top causes of global warming – water and air pollution. Now you can get rid of that lawn mower! Another important factor is the reduction of use of toxic chemicals such as fertilizer and weed killers.
According to the Association of Synthetic Grass Installers, the Lawn industry represents the 5th largest “crop” that is grown in America, larger than wheat, soy and other staple grains! *
For the Record:
(US Statistics, unless other wise noted)*
· 91 million households support lawn and landscaping
· 78 million households use pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides
· Herbicides - 90 million pounds are used annually
· Fertilizers - 1.2 million tons (synthetic, commercial produced) used annually
· Pesticides - 210 million tons used annually
Break the cycle and get rid of that natural lawn for the “green” alternative – Synthetic Lawn from PolyGrass.
